Given the high penetration of composites elsewhere in the boatbuilding industry, it’s somewhat surprising to discover how little this material has been applied to these amphibious watercraft” writes Jeff Sloan. “That feat was accomplished in late 2010 by EPS Corp…” For the complete article click here.

EPS Field Services Fielding Team Performs “… With Professionalism and Dedication…”

Under Subcontract to US Falcon under the Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract, EPS Field Services performs fielding for the US Army’s AN/TPQ-48(V)2 Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar (LCMR) system at Fort Hood, TX. On 25 February 2011, Product Manager Radars (PM-RADARS) Team successfully completed a Fielding to HHC 1-5 CAV; HHC 1-8 CAV; HHT 4-9 CAV; HHB 3-82 FA, 2nd HBCT, 1st Calvary Division, Fort Hood TX. Assisting with this fielding were Waymer Ward and Luis Pelez from Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), along with LCMR NET Trainers Boyce Pearson and Juan Andrade from EPS Field Services. The units received classroom and hands-on training on 4 fully tested AN/TPQ-48(V) 2’s. This LCMR system incorporates the latest omni-directional radar technology providing continuous 360 degree surveillance and mortar location capability and thus counter-fires targeting. Its ability to detect and locate mortar firing positions by tracking the mortar shell to the weapon it was fired from and direct counter-fire is an important tool to protect the war fighter. The unit was extremely impressed with the professionalism and dedication displayed by the entire fielding team.
